This privacy policy explains how hackNfun apps ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the हिन्दू ग्रंथ संग्रह app on Android or iOS. The app does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
Information We Collect
- App installation ID: a random identifier created by the app on first launch. It is sent with requests to our server so we can count views and recommend content.
- Push notification token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token, stored on our server with the installation ID, so we can send notifications you allow.
- Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob to show advertisements, including personalized ads where permitted.
- App activity: screens viewed, content opened and words you search for in the app, collected by Firebase Analytics.
- Crash logs and diagnostics: crash reports and device details (model, OS version), collected by Firebase Crashlytics.
- Server logs: our server records the IP address, installation ID, request type and which content was opened, for security, usage statistics and the "For You" recommendations.
- Referrals: if you enter a friend's referral code, our server stores both installation IDs.
How We Use Information

These Google services receive data directly from the app and handle it under their own policies:
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the Google services listed above, for the purposes listed above. All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Data Storage and Retention
Your favourites, reading streak and settings are stored only on your device. Our server keeps server logs (including the reading history behind recommendations), notification tokens and referrals, linked to your installation ID, while they are needed for the purposes above.
Deleting your data: email us the 8-character referral code shown in the app under Settings → Tell friends (दोस्तों को बताएँ). It identifies your installation, and we will delete the server data linked to it. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data creates a new installation ID, after which new data is no longer linked to the old one.
Children's Privacy
The app is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information such as names or contact details from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided such information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices
- Reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings
- Turn off notifications in your device or app settings
- Request deletion of your data by emailing us your referral code (see above)
- Uninstall the app to stop all collection
